Let’s start with stating the obvious difference here. The movie has countless of songs involved in it, making it a more of a musical. Whereas the book has nothing to do with singing. The bishop also doesn’t show up as much in the movie like i would’ve expected him too since he was pretty much the main focus in the first book of Les Mis. Though it did make sense that Jean Valjean showed up a lot more since he was the actual main character of the whole story.
