Les Miserables #6

In this chapter, we learn about how the interior of the bishop’s house looked like. The bishop’s home was pretty big and would sometimes offer a bed in the oratory whenever the curates would be over. Other than this, I found that he likes keeping his home as simple as he can judging by the amount of furniture he has and his lack of decorations. He also refuses to keep any of the doors in his house locked, which was very pleasant of him to do as he shows that he welcomes anyone to his home.
