Everyone in their town were already talking about the known vagabond. Madam Magloire even warned both the bishop and his sister how the vagabond could be a dangerous man. Mademoiselle believed and understood everything Madam Magloire was saying. The bishop however, didn’t seem to care as much. And he proves this just as he heard a knock on their door while replying with a, “come in,” without even knowing who could've possibly knocked.
